The WMU is an organization for women, girls and preschool boys and girls. Its purpose is to promote and support missions, to help the church fulfill its mission, and to lead in mission education.

1. Engage in mission action and personal witnessing.
Mission action is ministering and witnessing to persons of special need or circumstance who are members and non members of the church or its programs; and it also works in combating social and moral problems.

2. Teach missions.
We want to first involve women in mission and then having activated their interest, move them into study.

3. Support missions.
Support for mission is started by regular prayer for mission and for missionaries. They also support the two major mission offerings, the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for foreign missions and the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering for Home Missions.

4. Interpret and undergird the work of the church and the denomination.
Accomplishing this task strengthens not only the WMU work but also that of the church and the various agencies of the denomination.
