“WE NEED REVELATION!"
When The Spirit Reveals: Prophesy, Distinguishing Between Spirits.

~ 1 Corinthians 12:10 (NIV)
“to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues.”
~ Acts 11:27–30 (NIV)
27 “During this time some prophets came down from Jerusalem to Antioch.
28 One of them, named Agabus, stood up and through the Spirit predicted that a severe famine would spread over the entire Roman world. (This happened during the reign of Claudius.)
29 The disciples, as each one was able, decided to provide help for the brothers and sisters living in Judea.
30 This they did, sending their gift to the elders by Barnabas and Saul.”
~ Acts 16:16–18 (NIV)
16 “Now it happened, as we went to prayer, that a certain slave girl possessed with a spirit of divination met us, who brought her masters much profit by fortune-telling.
17 This girl followed Paul and us, and cried out, saying, “These men are the servants of the Most High God, who proclaim to us the way of salvation.”
18 And this she did for many days. But Paul, greatly annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.” And he came out that very hour.”

Key Points:
1) Prophecy Divinely Reveals Sovereign Purposes.
Acts 11:27–30
2) Discerning of Spirits Detects the Reality of Spiritual Proclamations.
Acts 16:16–18
